Weekend Track & Field Preview
The track & field season is well underway with one of the busiest weekends of the year to come.The season opening championship event is the British Universities & Colleges Champs which gets going tomorrow in Manchester in it's tradional 3 day format over the Bank Holiday weekend. The clubs student athletes will be competing for their university teams and you can follow the action on the excellent Roster App.The clubs U17's & U20's are in league action on Sunday competing in the first upper age group YDL match of the season in Bournemouth. The club along with it's composite partners in this league Portsmouth have put together a strong team as they compete in league 1A of the Southern section of the league.Bank Holiday Monday sees the Hampshire Walks Championships, the Hampshire mile championships (may day mile), the Hampshire 3000m championships, the Hampshire Multi-event championships and the Hampshire quadkids championships all take place at Portsmouth and with the club strong in all of these disciplins, it will be hoping its atheltes bring some silverware home to Winchester.Good luck to everyone (I reckon close to 100 WADAC athletes) competing this weekend.
