Midweek round-up

Seth Noott & Poppy Taylor (both coached by Nick Anderson) made the trip to Watford on Wednesday. This proved very fruitful for both as U15B Seth took a second and a half off his pb to go sub 2 mins 10 for the first time and Poppy ran a seasons best time and English schools entry standard of 2 mins 16.54 secs.On the other side of the pond Harry Crosby (coach Andy Fisher) wrapped up his first collegiate season by competing in a full decathlon at the National Junior College Athletic Association Champs in a sweltering Hobbs, New Mexico on Thursday & Friday. Harry recorded 4 pb's including going 2nd on the clubs all time 110mh lists with a time of 15.62 secs and finished with 6476 points for 3rd place overall and the 2nd highest decathlon score in the clubs history. For this Harry received his all-american medal and the honour of being the leading freshman in the competition.
