Upper Age Group composite team win South 1A YDL league match

We came 2nd a few times last year but the upper age group YDL composite team (shared with Portsmouth) won their opening league match in South 1A in Bournemouth yesterday. This is the level just below the premier league and the team dominated the match winning by over 300 points from the 6 other clubs taking part.32 young athletes from the U20 & U17 age group from Team WADAC took part and each and every one of them did us proud with 2 club records recorded on the day from Charlie Elford-Pond (coach Eric Davison) & Jasmine Gordon (coach Martin McBriar) both in the hammer.Huge thanks to Bracken, Paul, Jess, Tony & David for officiating on the day but most of all to the athletes who travelled back to Winchester with a bunch of pb's and season bests and a hatful of points as we began the YDL league season in style.
