New treasurer appointed

We are pleased to announce that the committee have appointed a new interim treasurer until the next AGM namely Mark Cripps.

Mark has over 30 years’ experience in education, with more than 20 as a headteacher, both in the UK and overseas.

Prior to qualifying as a teacher, Mark spent several years in the finance sector and has a clear knowledge and understanding of accountancy, profit and loss and budgeting processes and procedures.  Mark further enhanced his financial expertise during his time as an educational leader where he had responsibility for managing budgets for state, independent and international schools – including the requirement to meet profitability targets.

Mark recently stepped away from headship and is currently working as Schools Academies Officer for the Diocese of Guildford.

He is married to Cordelia and their son Cooper is a member of U13 WADAC endurance squad.

Whilst Mark is joining the committee, Simon Harvey has decided to step down as a committee member after nearly 7 years but will continue to be involved in the club. We would like to thank Simon for his significant contribution over the years.
