Marcin Wojtowicz will be attempting to complete a 50k ultra racewalk at the Gloucester athletics track on Saturday night. The race starts at midnight and the competitors are allowed 10 hours to complete the event. It will no doubt test the competitors stamina and hopefully Marcin will be in the mix to win it. In other news, Derek Smith took part in the Aldershot, Farnham & District open meeting last Thursday. He completed the 2k event in 13:37.08 to finish 2nd male,despite suffering the effects of a cold virus and a strong headwind.
