Lexie improves her indoor club record

The results from last weekends London Indoor games (U20 & Senior) have finally come online and 7 WADAC athletes were in action.

Lexie Trott (coach Tom Farres) improved her own indoor club record by a further 5cm to 3.15m which is just 5cm shy of outdoor best mark.

Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) went to 2nd on the clubs all time indoor list with a run of 25.16 secs in the 200m and Elsie Brindle (coach Mark Upton) also went 2nd on the clubs all time indoor list but this time in the 400m with a run of 57.76 secs. Elsie’s run was something of a tell your grandchildren moment as she ran in the same race as young athlete 800m sensation Phoebe Gill who ran an incredible 53.65 without starting blocks and goodness knows what she will run in the 800m this year.

Jess Howells (coach Andy Fisher) suffered a hamstring injury whilst long jumping in round 3 after recording a jump of 5.15m in an earlier round. Vets female captain Amanda Sith (coach Dave Sherry) opened her season with a run of 35.31 secs in the 200m and Sue Van Vuuren (coach Dave Sherry) broker the clubs Masters indoor shot put record with a push of 7.43m.
