Annie smashes club mile record

In a very busy weekend of track & field action for the clubs athletes, Annie Mann (coach James Mann) continued her return to top form with a run of 4 mins 40.07 secs in one of the many mile races at the annual David Hemery Valentine International meeting at Boston University on Saturday night. Annie’s finish wasn’t without incident as she fell just before the line and quick thinking saw her do a forward roll over the line to lose just a second or two and record this impressive time which smashes her own club record. Annie also recorded a 1500m time of 4 mins 20.49 secs on the way to her mile record which is a new indoor pb and indoor club record over the distance.

Elsewhere in the States, Amy Wall (coach Andy Fisher) competed at the wonderfully named Indoor Music City challenge meeting in Nashville recorded a long jump distance of 5.24m on Friday night.
