Aspen breaks two records in one weekend

Aspen Stobart (Coach Martin McBriar) showed what a fantastic addition she is to the club with two new age group club records set at the weekend.

On Sunday in Eltham, Aspen recorded a time of 8.10 secs in the 60m to break Gracie Osman’s U15G age group indoor club record and this followed a 3kg hammer throw of 44.85m at the Basingstoke Winter throws event on Saturday which again broke the U15G age group record but this time for an outdoors performance. for good measure, Aspen also went 2nd on the clubs all time age group discus lists with a throw of 34.30m. Also in action in Basingstoke, Aspen’s Sister Winter (coach Martin McBriar) went 2nd on the clubs all time 4kg hammer lists with a throw of 40.91m and also threw the discus 30.10m. Clarice Thorne-Henderson & Charlotte Humphries (both coached by Martin McBriar) recorded pb’s in the SP with pushes of 8.15m & 7.16m respectively and followed this with pb’s in the hammer (both Clarice & Charlotte) and discus (just Charlotte). Reuben Noott (coach Martin McBriar) made a fine start to throwing the 5kg hammer with a throw of 35.56m and Sam Nicholson (coach Martin McBriar) did likewise with the 800mg javelin throwing 45.48.

Elsewhere in action this Weekend, Eslie Brindle (coach Mark Upton) competed in the BHXi indoor meeting in Birmingham smashing her own indoor pb to record a time of 56.95 secs in the 400m to go 2nd on the clubs all time indoor lists.
