Annie and Alex in action for England

 Weekend track & field preview

The Commonwealth youth games takes place this week with the track & field action taking place in Trinidad. Both Annie Mann (coach James Mann) and Alex Beck (coach Mark Upton) will compete in their heats on Monday in the womens 1500m and mens 400m respectively with both hoping to make Tuesdays final. Alex could well be in action for all 4 days of the track & field schedule with the mixed 4 x 400m relay heats on Wednesday and the final on Thursday. We wish them both the very best of luck.

Abi Belward (coach Andy Fisher) competes in the National age group Combined Events finals on Manchester today & tomorrow and Sam Clifton (coach Jeremy Clifton) and Jasmine Gordon (coach Martin McBriar) will be in National Athletics league action for their higher claim clubs today.
