Helen & Laura shine at Nationals

Results from English National senior champs

In the last of my catch up reports since my holiday, it was great to 3 WADAC athletes on the start lists at the English National senior champs in Chelmsford on the 22nd & 23rd July.

Toby Cooke (self coached) is listed as Did not finish in the mens 5000m but Helen Hall (coach Nick Anderson) finished in a fine 5th place in the womens 1500m. Helen's time was just outside the new pb she set in Bracknell in June. Helen also ran in the 1500m at BMC in Tooting last Wednesday and again finished just outside her pb and the very next day in Aldershot Helen broke her own 3000m club record recording a time of 9 mins 29.20 secs showing her great form has continued throughout the season.

Laura Clark (coach Mark Upton) was representing the British Army at the champs and finished 4th in her heat just missing out on the final but did have the consolation of a new pb of 56.62 secs. Earlier in the season on the 7th June, Laura had won the sprint treble of the 100m, 200m & 400m at the army champs at the military stadium in Aldershot.
