Young athletes win their county vests

The U13 age group is the first time that you can win a Hampshire athletics vest for track & field and the South of England inter-counties champs along with the South of England individual champs is the highest standard that you can compete in at this age.

The inter-counties champs for U13's named after Derek Crookes took place at Walton on Saturday and a number of the clubs young athletes were selected to take part.

Lexie Divers (coach Andy Fisher) was 4th in the girls a string sprint hurdles and Jackson Purdie (coach Andy Fisher) was 7th in the boys equivilent. Leo Davies-Pratt (U13 academy) was 11th in the boys high jump and Tom Pate (coach Andy Fisher) was 6th in the boys javelin and 9th in the long jump and Hallie Eldridge (coach Andy Fisher) was 6th in the a string shot putt and 3rd in the b string javelin.
