For athletes in the V35, V50 and V60 age categories, the club enter a Men’s and Ladies Team into the Hampshire Division of the Southern Counties Vets Track & Field League.

The League comprises of 4 fixtures on Monday evenings, usually one in each of April, May, June and July. The start time is usually 18:30 and the match finishes by 9pm.

There are 4 matches each season, each generally hosted by one of the clubs:

• Winchester

• Southampton

• Basingstoke

• Portsmouth

• Aldershot

Over the 4 matches the following events are usually covered (sometimes twice)

• 100m

• 200m

• 400m

• 800m

• 1500m

• 3000m

• 5000m (not every season)

• 3000m steeplechase (men only)

• 2000m Racewalk

• Long jump

• Triple jump

• High jump

• Pole vault

• Hammer

• Javelin

• Shot

• 4*100 and 4*400 relays

Selection is on a "can do" basis, we can enter non scorers in the track events, so in the event of more than 2 athletes wanting to take part selection will be on recent times. Only 2 per event in the field events, selection being on recent performance.

We aim to take a complete team, with the emphasis on taking part and enjoyment.
