Harestock Handicap - 2nd June 2016
20 runners contested the June 2016 Harestock handicap including one newbie, Sarah Coggan. On a poor night for the handicapper Andrew Robinson romped home more than a minute ahead of his handicap to be our winner on the night. Karen Hazlitt was second and birthday boy Adrian Field was third. In all 12 runners managed to meet or beat their handicap.
n
nFastest on the night by some margin was Tom Oliver, amazingly well recovered from his fantastic 2h48m52s marathon debut last weekend to post a time of 5m43s and further improve his existing course record by 3secs. Second fastest was James Moore with 6m8s and we had a further 5 runners under the 7min mark.

nJune is of course midway through our race series and so far we have had a fantastic series with 6 different race winners, 72 different runners and 165 attempts at the event. Our leader at this halfway stage is Adrian Field from Carrie Oliver and Steve Oliver but it is all bunched up behind these three. The scoring system however includes as many as 4 discards so anyone could still get into the mix and win this. Come along and give it a go, the next running of the event will be on the first Thursday of July, the 7th.
