WADAC juniors continue impressive cross-country season
First off were the Under-11 boys, including twenty runners wearing the black and gold of Winchester. As has become customary this season, our boys packed the top end of the results table, with five in the first six and ten in the first fifteen. James L, hampered by taking a wrong turn while leading on a sparsely-marshalled course, finished second, closely followed by Michael S, Tom G, Charlie K and Stan P.
nThe Under-11 girls team was severely weakened by the absence of several of our most experienced runners, due to both a clash with an important Sportshall fixture and various seasonal maladies. This gave the opportunity to shine to some of our newer athletes, and shine they did, with Lucy J finishing a very impressive 6th, backed up by Amy P (13th) and Daisy D (14th).

nThe Under-13 girls matched their season-high team result, achieved previously at the Hants Championships in January, by finishing fourth. First home for WADAC was the ever-improving Hannah F in 12th, followed by Grace M (15th) and Lily N (18th).

nThe Under-13 boys, despite missing key regulars, once again achieved second place in the team event, with James M first home in 12th and Sam R (17th) and Thomas B (19th) completing the scorers.
