RR10 Race 2 Report

It was a chilly and windy evening at last night’s RR10 but we were grateful that the rain held off until the end. The 4.7 mile course had a lot of downhill and a lot of uphill.
nThank you to all who turned out, 16 men and 9 ladies in total. So good to see all the RR10 regulars again. Also team mascot Rosie seemed to enjoy her second RR10.
nLast night our men finished 5th overall and the ladies finished 3rd so after 2 races, men are in 13th position and ladies are in 4th position in the league.
nThere was a very welcome appearance from our new secretary, Ian Berry Bowers who finished a brilliant 12th, see you at the next RR10 Ian! Pete Sansome finished an incredible 8th on legs that had run a 2.44 London marathon just over a week ago! Pete, Ian, James Moore (16th), Peat Allan (42nd) and Andy Parkinson (50th) made up the fab men’s team. Good to see Martin Davis looking so sprightly after the European duathlon in Spain at the weekend along with a bike ride before the RR10 and he still finished 115th. Mark Wilson also ran a great race finishing 119th with both Brighton and Southampton marathon under his belt in the last month! Keith Flack joined us for his first ever RR10 too, hope to see you at lots more Keith.
nThe brilliant ladies team comprised of Karen Rushton (8th), Sam Parkinson (12th) and Charlie Hoskins (15th). Full results for all on www.rr10.org.uk
