RR10, Race 6 Results

Well done to all you wonderful RR10 runners, we managed to retain our 4th position for the ladies team and 9th for the men's team even with a few unavoidable absences! We had 17 men and 10 ladies running.
nWhat a magnificent evening, better than balmy, positively roasting. A beautiful course winding through woodland tracks, leaping a few tree trunks, open sunny savannah type expanses and riverside tracks along the River Hamble finishing with a large hill and some super sprints to the finish. Tough but idyllic.
nThere were a few tired legs today particularly Simon Williamson, Mark Wilson and myself after running the Hampshire Hoppit marathon on Sunday. Well done chaps, it did not appear to hamper your run at all.
nPete Sansome was once again first man home (13th), good to have John Gore running strongly next (45th), Andy Parkinson (53rd), Peat Allen (58th) and Colin Mcmanus (65th), made up our men's team which finished 9th and so we retain our 9th position.
nThe ladies team comprised of Karen Rushton (5th), Sarah Reid (19th) and wonderful to have Harriet Hide back at RR10'S (22nd) . The team finished 4th and retained 4th position overall.
nBrill to see Robert Bryan storming through the pack at his first RR10 this year and a big well done to Sarah Aldridge and Gill Goodwin who finished very strongly together. A great picnic and sunset was then enjoyed along with a solstice swim at Hill Head. Hurrah.

nNext RR10 is 5th July at the superbly close Marwell, hope to see you all there.
