Registration for Welsh Castles 2018 now open

Welsh Castles Relay 9-10 June 2018The Welsh Castles relay is one of the highlights in the WADAC endurance running calendar. A fun-filled 200 mile relay that winds it's way through Wales from Caernarvon Castle in the North to Cardiff Castle in the South. Just being part of the accompanying motorcade of support vehicles is as much fun as the run itself!

nNB this event is only open to first claim members of WADAC and at this stage all we need is for you to register your interest in taking part via the event registration page:welsh castles registration
nThe first leg starts in the morning of Sat 9th
nJune in Caernarvon and the 20th and final leg finishes late afternoon Sunday 10th June in
nCardiff. It is not a baton relay so each
nleg is a competitive race within a race and everyone is part of the exciting motorcade. You can make it a full weekend event or join
nup with the fun for as short or as long a period as you wish. Our aim is to apply for two teams this year which
nmeans we need 40 runners plus reserves!
nWe therefore need members to show their
ninterest and enter via the event registration asap. Our chances of getting 2 teams are improved
nif one of those teams is a ladies team so a special request therefore for
nladies to come forward and take part.
nThe £25 fee covers the cost of your race
nentry and includes a commemorative T-shirt from the organisers at the end of
nyour leg plus who knows maybe a stage winners jersey too ! Details of other arrangements and optional
nextras such as WADAC technical T-shirts, transport and accommodation will be
ncommunicated at a later stage. At this
nstage we just need your entry and commitment to run a leg.
nWe recognise there may be some athletes
nwho are ultimately unable to make it to the event (through injury etc) so we operate
na pool system and a reserve list so substitutions and refunds are generally possible......early
nregistration helps us all and the actual allocation of race legs and sorting
nthe other logistics will take place nearer the time.
