Ladies team come 21st out of 70 teams in Southern at Parliament Hill

Notorious for its mud – the Southern Counties Cross Country at Parliament Hill did not disappoint. Five brave ladies made their way to London and battled the 8km amongst 695 other competitors.

nSam Parkinson led the ladies home in 126th, closely followed by Laura Fenwick 135th, then Jane Gandee 160th and Emma Carter 212th, to complete the team. Alison Fenwick came 329th, a fantastic result, meaning everyone finished in the top half of the field.

nThe team came a brilliant 21st out of 70 teams in a tough field and just ahead of some local rivals (Southampton 22nd, Basingstoke 31st, Stubbington 39th).

I have helped out with club IT for several years inlcluding setting up the club’s Microsoft 365 for email, Teams etc and web site migraiton. Occasional parkrun run director, still enjoying my running though never got anywhere near a podium!
