CC6 results from Kings Garn Gutter

A cold and frosty morning and brilliant blue skies greeted the 18 men and 6 women of Winchester when they ventured into the Kings Garn Gutter Inclosure on the 19 January. A modified course included a steep finish (off road) and the broken ice puddles proved challenging, but fun. With 6 races completed, competitors require 4 results to post a league position. 7 women club runners can (or have) still achieve this with 2 more races to go. Emma Carter is currently 6th overall and top V40. Meanwhile 19 men are in the same position, with Colin McManus leading the Winchester men with a sturdy 29th overall. Well done to all 24 of you. The next race will take place on the 16th February in the easily accessible Ashurst campsite. 5 miles of gravel and paths, trail shoes recommended, club top. Its a great way to get into competitive running or something to spice up your Sunday morning training.
