Kathryn and Dave take Southern Counties Gold

Not only is she the heartbeat of the club, selflessly carrying out so many tasks behind the scenes at WADAC to make everything work so well, Kathryn Miles is also an oustanding veteran athlete. Competing in the Southern Counties indoor Champs at Lee Valley on Sunday, Kathryn took 60m gold in the V45 age group before just missing out on a medal in the 200m after 2 athletes came past her in the last strides of the race.Fellow Vet Dave Roberts demonstrated what an asset he will be to the club across a number of events as he took gold in the Triple Jump in the V50 age group and followed this up with Long Jump Silver and 60m bronze.The Vets continue to be a strong and hugely valuable part of the club and regularly feature among the medals at the various championship events.
