Junior Triathlon team in action

The Triathlon Festival on Saturday 29th February, held at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl, was an exhilarating way to get everyone in gear ready for the start of the season.

nThe morning started with our athletes – fit and determined – racing against the clock and against the wind and hail – as they did a run-bike-run around the edge of the Stadium.

nThen fun at the festival – as they raced against each other to see who was fastest in a transition game!

nGold dust in a talk from the man who spotted the Brownlee Brothers about sensible balance in life and how the best nutrition is to eat real food…..oh – and don’t forget to SLEEP!

nThen a talk from Andy Lewis, The Paralympic Champion and of course the all inspiring awards ceremony for the winners of the South Central Youth Series.

nWhat a day – rubbing shoulders with the best of the best – and rubbing calves as our emergent Junior Triathlon team prepares to put their hard winter training into practice.
