n Winchester & District Athletic Club (WADAC) young athletes took part in the final Hampshire Sportshall League match at Havant Leisure Centre. The match was the culmination of an exciting League season and presentations of medals and awards were made at the end of the meeting.
nIn the Under 11 boys section Rory Jack had another splendid performance finishing 2nd in a field of almost 80 boys. Rory was awarded the medal for equal best performance in the 1 Lap race and also had 4th best Standing Triple Jump of 5.79m. Next WADAC U11B was Lucas Steel in 9th position, he threw the Soft Javelin 17.00m for 3rd best throw of the day. Rory and Lucas have both been selected for the Hampshire Sportshall team for the South East Regional Championships. The scoring U11B team was completed by Bradley Lewis in 18th and Patrick Skipwith 38th and the team were 4th on the day which secured 3rd place team award for the season. Other U11B WADAC Jack Cooper 49th, Tristan Lickman 53rd Tommy Bertacchini 58th Oscar Bennett 61st Evan Jones 69th.

nFor the U11G another Hampshire chosen athlete Lucia Bertacchini was 5th on the day her best performance of the season which included a good 3 Lap race .Lily Flute, also county selected, continued her overall improvement with 23rd in a field of 90 athletes. The scoring U11G team members were Isla Hoult 39th and Pip Walker 41st. The team were 7th on the day and 8th overall in a very competitive section. Other U11G Veronica Bucci 42nd Sara Bucci 53rd Amelie De Liberali 57th Millie Hardcastle 63rd Imogen Harris 65th Darcey Thorne-Henderson 74th Mary Hide 81st and Ellie Davis 86th.

nUnder 13 boy Sam Nicholson produced a superb Speed Bounce total of 83 to win the medal for the season’s best performance. Sam was 3rd on the cay and 4th overall in the aggregates also having 2nd best Standing Triple Jump on the day of 6.34m. Asher Sirl-Green ran a very good 4 Lap race for 2nd best time and was 5th individual. Daniel Harrison was 10th with 3rd best Speed Bounce total. David Velica 22nd completed WADAC U13B scoring team which were 2nd both on the day and overall.

nThe Under 13 girsl team was decimated by injury and a clash with a netball tournament which meant that Talya Wright was the only WADAC U13G competitor and she finished 6th having the 3rd best Standing Triple Jump of 5.95m

nIn the Under 15 boys section Oscar Hoult won the seasonal best Speed Bounce total of 84 and was 4th overall in the aggregates.
