Tamsin adds more distance to her club record
U20 woman Tamsin Hoult (coach Martin McBriar) added a further 1.42m to her women's hammer club record when she threw 32.46m in the Southampton AC throws event held in Winchester yesterday. Whilst it isn't the strongest record on the club's books, Tamsin nevertheless seems to break it every time she competes and has added over 10m to her distance since she first threw the 4kg hammer 6 months ago or so. Tamsin also threw a pb of 21.99m with the discus.
nU17 man Charlie Elford Pond (coach Matrin McBriar) was another to throw a hammer pb going over 40m with the 5kg hammer for the first time to add to his distance as 2nd place on the club's all time age group list.
nDecathlete Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) put a new pb of 12.72m to improve his 3rd place performance on the club's all time age group list with the 6kg shot and fellow multi-eventer Abi Belward (coach Andy Fisher) went over 10m for the first time with the 3kg shot by recording a distance 10.37m, remarkably this is the 2nd U15 girl in the club to have gone into double digit metres with the shot this season.
nU15 girl Erin McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) was just down on her pb' for both hammer and discus with sister Abigail McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) likewise with the javelin. Finally U15 boy javelin thrower Harry Jones (coach Martin McBriar) produced another 30m throw less than 1m down on his pb.
