Results catch up
The last month or so has been hectic in terms of individual and team track & field competitions but here is a quick round up of what has gone on. The 5th June saw our first league match, this being the lower age group YDL match in Southampton. The team won on the day and results are now, at last, available through the following link. There were some fantastic performances, the highlight being the U15 girls sprint hurdles which saw the club record broken twice in the space of 5 minutes, first by Grace Weeks (coach Gary Bettridge) and then Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher).

nOur next league match quickly followed the day after, with the Wessex league in Aldershot on 6th June. This also resulted with a win for the team, both in the quad kids competition and the main match. Lots of children competed for the club for the first time and there were some amazing performances on the day. Abi McBriar (coach Martin McBriar) broke her age group discus record and improved her all time 2nd best performance in the javelin. Grace Colmer (coach Andy Fisher) went 2nd in the club's all time shot put lists. Alexa Divers (U11 academy) broke the age group record for the U11 girls' long jump and also went 3rd on the club's all time quad kids points list. Ava Cassia (u11 academy) went 3rd on the club's all time 600m list. Lucia Bertacchini (coach Andy Fisher) briefly went to the top of the U13 girls' UK high jump rankings. For the boys, Ethan Skipwith (coach Andy Fisher) went joint 3rd on the club's U13 boys' sprint hurdles list and Zak Reynolds (coach Andy Fisher) did the same for the 800m. Harry Wilson (coach Nick Anderson) was just the thickness of a vest from doing the same in the U17 men's 1500m. Full results available through the following link:
