Weekly preview

The weekly preview begins with action from the British champs and olympic trials which takes place this weekend in Manchester although disappointingly it is not being televised. The champs began yesterday and the club’s best current athlete Stuart McCallum finished 7th in his 1500m heat narrowly missing out on the final.
nAnother busy weekend is taking place more locally for the club’s athletes. On Sunday in Guildford our first upper age group YDL match takes place as we line up with our composite partner City of Portsmouth AC. Also on Sunday, around 90 of our junior athletes will compete in the Wessex league match which takes place in Aldershot as the club looks to build on the success of match 1.
nFinally the regional schools combined event champs takes place in Lee Valley in London with the club’s multi-eventers in action hoping to qualify for the schools’ national combined event finals in September.
