Weekly preview

An incredible week of track & field action ahead for the club's athletes as approximately 200 athletes will be in action from ages 8 to 80 in various competitions.
nThe highlight of the weekend is the English Schools Championships taking place today, tomorrow and Sunday in Manchester. With covid restrictions reducing the size of fields to the top 16 in England, it is great testament to the club that 13 athletes have qualified to take part across the 6 age groups. Competing today will be the seniors with the intermediates in action on Saturday and the juniors on Sunday.
nThe senior athletes (U17+) will be in action in their second SAL match of the season taking place in Portsmouth on Sunday with approximately 30 athletes representing the club.
nThe young athletes will also be in action on Sunday with some 130 or so turning out for the club in our 3rd Wessex League match of the season, this time at home, as the club hopes to repeat its success from the first two matches of the season in Aldershot.
nOur masters athletes will be action on Monday with 20 or so vets competing in the 2nd and last Hampshire Vets League match of the season in Aldershot.
nFinally, next Wednesday sees the Hampshire Schools Junior Champs (U13/U14) take place in Southampton with many of the club's young athletes from school years 7 & 8 representing their school district.
