Results catch up

The last update to bring the track & field results up to date includes the most successful weekend in the club's history in terms of the sheer number of record breaking performances.
nThe weekend of the 26th & 27th June saw the club record a 2nd Wessex League win in Aldershot. Some performances have already been mentioned from the day but 3 further club records were broken in Aldershot including U15 girl Grace Weeks (coach Gary Bettridge) running 11.6 secs in the 75m hurdles to go into the UK top 10. U13 boy Zac Reynolds (coach Andy Fisher) broke the club's 800m age group record running 2 mins 17.5 secs to go 6th in the UK and training partner and U13 girl Lucia Bertacchini (coach Andy Fisher) broke the club's 200m age group record running 27.2 secs to go 3rd in the UK.
nOn the same weekend in Lee Valley the club won no fewer than 3 regional schools' combined event titles after a wait of many years before winning one at all. Grace Colmer (coach Andy Fisher) won the U17 girls' heptathlon title in her first appearance in the event breaking the club's heptathlon age group record. Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) won the U15 girls' pentathlon title, breaking 3 club records in the process in shot put (12.17m), long jump (5.41m) and overall points total (3383 points), which takes Bella to UK number 1 and 12th in the all time UK standings. Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) won the U19 boys' decathlon title with no fewer than 8 pbs on the day, including the 2nd highest high jump in the club's history, breaking the 2m barrier to jump 2.01m. Oliver's points total (6745) was also a club record and takes him into the world's top 40 in the U20 age group. Ruben Price, George Musselwhite, Abi Belward and Carys Jeffries (all coached by Andy Fisher) also did well at the event with Abi joining Grace and Bella in qualifying for the national schools' combined event finals in September.
nOn the same weekend in Guildford, the club won their first upper age group YDL match with Tamsin Hoult (coach Martin McBriar) once more breaking the club's women's hammer record, one of a number of eye catching performances where Natasha Mitchell (coach Elias Mtshweni) & Harry Crosby (coach Andy Fisher) made the club's all time top 3 lists in pole vault & 400m respectively, the latter with an impressive time under 50 secs.
nBringing things up to date, Ben Healey (coached out of club) ran a season's best 400m and sub 1 min 56 secs 800m in Milton Keynes last weekend and Carys Jeffries was 4th in the U15 girls' South of England Combined Event champs in Oxford.
