Treloars 20 - the last long run

A key feature of marathon training is the long run and the resulting development of endurance and stamina. That series of long runs is made more pleasurable if they can be completed over varied terrain and with the company of other club members. Whilst such long runs are fun a highlight of most marathon training plans is the last long run.....For 30 WADAC athletes - most of whom are in training for the London Marathon on 3rd October - the Treloars 20 on 12th September provided just that opportunity. A last long run in good company with marshalling, water/feed stations and generous catering at the finish - a perfect way to ease into the taper phase of the plan. Many thanks to Cathy Kinnear, Joy Radford and their team of marshals for organising such an excellent WADAC event
