Weekend preview

The weekend preview is produced a day early this week due to the fact that the school games is back for 2021 with field events taking place at Loughborough University today. Charlie Elford Pond (coach Martin McBriar) has been selected for the England South team in this prestigious schools event that sees young athletes in the U17 age group compete for their home nations. This is a well deserved reward for a fantastic season for Charlie and the field event action can be followed live today on youtube through the link below. Liv Busher (coached out of club) has also been selected for the England South schools team. Charlie's hammer event is at 12.20pm and Liv's javelin at 4.35pm.

n Tomorrow is the 3rd and last of the lower age group YDL matches in Portsmouth with the WADAC youngsters aiming for a 3rd consecutive win against their local rivals.
nSunday sees the Hampshire quadkids, multi events, walks and pole vault championships again in Portsmouth with the club well represented in all of these events.
nFinally, after two long years the Hampshire road race league is back with the first of the 11 2021/2022 fixtures taking place on Sunday this being the Overton 5 mile race. The club will again be well represented and it must feel great for the road runners to be back in action in this well organised league.
