U20 club records updated

The run down the age groups continue as the U20 track & field club records have now been updated for 2021. Lots of these have been broken by those younger than U20 which will be mentioned in their specific age groups so this round up is for those athletes who were in the U20 age group during 2021.We start with the women where Tamsin Hoult (coach Martin McBriar) broke the U20 & senior hammer record throwing close to 34m in Guildford at the end of June. Rebecca Mitchell (walks coach Clare Mitchell) went 2nd behind her younger sister in the 3000m walk record list with her performance in Aldershot in early May.The mens records have been dominated by 3 athletes. Sam Clifton (coach Jeremy Clifton) broke the hammer record by throwing just shy of 55m when finishing 7th in the national championships in Bedford in June. Harry Crosby (coach Andy Fisher) registered 3 all time top 3 performances throughout the season. His LJ of 7.22m goes 2nd in the clubs rankings, his 110m hurdles does the same over the 99cm barriers and he also registered a sub 50 second clocking to go 3rd in the clubs 400m lists. Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) registered top 3 performances in no fewer than 4 events. His points total of 6745 broke the clubs decathlon record and places him 3rd in the UK. He also went 2nd on the clubs pole vault and HJ lists and 3rd for shot putt.Tomorrow I round up the new top 3 performances for the U17 age groups.
