Thruxton Duathlon results

While some were in the midst of the London Marathon, a couple of WADAC athletes competed in the Thruxton Mass Attack Duathlon as part of our small multisport section.
nOn a blowy day that made cycling an extra challenge, Tim Smales won the Sprint distance (3.75k run, 18k cycle, 3.75k run) in under 57.14 (the transition times recorded were wrong) smashing the opposition in all legs and winning by a margin of over 3 minutes.
n
nSimon Stevens was 4th in the Standard distance (11k run, 37k cycle, 3.75k run) and first over 50 in 2:05.43.
nFor those who remember the Hardcastles, Ian was there (I annoyingly beat him in a sprint finish 🙂) and may well join WADAC again.
