Seniors out in force as the Hampshire X-Country League returns to Bournemouth
The ladies were the first to run with a mixture of first-timers and seasoned veterans. U20 Lily Neate was the first WADAC runner home in a very creditable 6th position overall. She was joined by Jo Clarke (25th) and Kath Bailey (29th) to form the 5th placed ladies team. Such is the diversity of running talent in the club, the team consisted of a U20, a senior and a vet, the perfect hat-trick!
n
nWADAC has a long tradition of strong performances from our veteran ladies. They did not disappoint placing 1st team, consisting of Kath Bailey, Jane Gandee (32nd) and Sam Parkinson (45th).
n
nWith fantastic support from both the ladies and a number of junior runners who had remained, it was the turn of the men to make their return to racing. 25 WADAC men toed the starting line in a field of 311. Stuart McCallum stopped Aldershot from dominating the top 3 positions with a very strong 2nd place. He was joined by Phil Bernsten (15th), Will Boutwood (16th), Calum Upton (31st) and Adrian Faulty (40th) to make up the team placed 4th in Division 1. Doug Scally was 5th placed U20 (60th overall) supported by Sam Roberts 9th position (87th overall). With the vets team coming in 6th (Rich Bidgood, Pete Samsome and Andy Parkinson), the season has made a promising start, building on all the hard work put into training over the summer and into the Autumn,

nThe next outing is Aldershot on the 4th December. Not too late to sign up.
