Role of Chair
After four years of leading the Club as chair through some significant changes and dealing with the challenges of Covid, I would like to take a break from this role and focus more on my coaching and family life. It has been a privilege to serve in this role and I believe the Club is in a much stronger position now than when I first got involved. However, there is still a lot more to do to build on what has been achieved so far.
nPlease would you let me know if you are interested in taking on this important role and I would be happy to talk to you about what is involved. Essentially, it is leading the Club alongside the committee, developing strategy and plans to achieve success, chairing meetings, finding volunteers and dealing with complaints and issues when they arise. A significant amount of time is spent running the junior section of the Club with its diverse groups and large numbers. On average I spend at least 5 hours per week in this role. Thank you to all those people who have supported me over the years.
