We happy band of runners at Roundhill CC6
The glorious winter sun shone upon the 12 athletes of Winchester, as the latest CC6 cross country race unwound in the forest enclosures of Brockenhurst. The melting frost and undulating tracks proved swift course for our runners. Although only 6 men and 6 women from the club competed, the women earned a confident 3rd team placing, with a fine 4th from Jane Gandee her first for the season, Anna Locke ever improving with a 10th and Emma Carter completing the team with 14th; Caroline Carr 18th, Joy Radford posting her fourth result 46th and Louise Snook 64th. The men of Winchester came 4th with Wayne Bevan delivering a speedy 5th, Will Harding coming up with his best performance to date 8th, Pete Sansome improving 17th and distant Stephen Lowy 47th. The band of brothers also included Paul Horler 59th with 100% attendance! Rick Munro also completing a fourth result, 89th. In a fortnight It is once more onto the breach, or in this case Janesmoor Pond, on the 13th February for the next exciting instalment of the CC6 races. Remember there is a space for you to join this happy few. www.cc6.co.uk
