Moira's performance officially confirmed as British record

I reported on Moira West (coach Elias Mtshweni) and her record breaking feats at the British Masters champs and the Inter area Masters champs. These reports were in terms of breaking the club record but what I didn't realise is that Moira's performances on the 6th & the 13th March were actually new British indoor records.
nMoira's time of 9.91 secs on the 6th March was the fastest indoor time a british women over 70 years of age has ever run over 60m and see below the certificate to prove it.

nNot happy with that, Moira went out and ran 9.85 secs on the 13th March to set yet another British record.
nA British record is a rare feat and the club will find a way to celebrate Moira's achievment but if you do see this modest 72 year old life member of the club training at the track then please go over and say well done, she deserves it!
