Weekend track & field preview

The fixtures come thick and fast at this time of year and this weekend sees a double header of league action as the club is competing both today and tomorrow. The clubs youngsters (U13/U15) take part in the 2nd league match of division 2A of the lower age group youth development league in Bournemouth today and are hoping to repeat their success in match 1.The club begins it's journey of senior league competition with the first league match in division 3 West of the Southern Athletics league in Swindon tomorrow.Two league matches on consecutive days test the clubs volunteer resources to the full and we say a big thank you to the Team Managers, coaches and most of all the officials this weekend without whom the clubs athletes would not be competing.Finally, it's a busy weekend of top class domestic action with the Diamond league match taking place in a revamped Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham today and the Loughborough International tomorrow. The latter features the clubs very own Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) who will run in the 400m hurdles A guest race at 2.25pm and this can be watched on the vincosport website livestream.
