Weekend track & field preview

The county track & field champs is always a big weekend in the athletics calender and this year is no different with the championships returning to its normal May date, venue and format after a couple of years break because of the pandemic.It's a large event with over 650 competitors taking part and the club would like to put on record its huge thanks for all the volunteers who make this happen. From the officials to the administrators, the first aid staff, the electronic timing, the announcers and everyone else who make this logistical challenge come together as a championship event, we thank you.The championship timetable is shown below with a 9.30am start on both the Saturday and Sunday and the club wishes all its athletes well whether competing in run, hurdle, jump or throw.Hampshire Athletics Track Field Championships Timetable 2022The last championship was held on the Bank holiday August weekend last year was a much quieter affair but nevertheless the club did well as shown in the below role of honour and we keep our fingers crossed for more medal success this year.
