Bella comes 5th at Schools International match

Arabella Wilson (coach Andy Fisher) made the long journey up to Glasgow at the weekend to compete for England schools in the Home countries indoor Combined Events schools international match. Held at the impressive Emirates Arena, the event is a reward for a top 4 finish for the junior and inter age groups at the National schools combined events champs in September and England schools, Ireland schools, Wales schools and Scotland schools each have 4 competitors in both the under and over 16 age groups who compete in an individual and team indoor pentathlon.Bella took 5th place in a high class indoor pentathlon event scoring 3614 points which is good enough to put her equal 19th on the UK all time lists for the U17W age group. In doing so, Bella broke the indoor age group club record in shot putt (11.56m), 800m (2 mins 21.03 secs) and unsurpringly the indoor pentathlon itself. The over 16 England schools team that Bella was part, won the team competition by a country mile with the 3 scoring competitors going 8th, 17th & equal 19th on the UK all time age group lists for the event.
