WADAC Athletes Representing Hampshire at the SEAA Inter-Counties Cross-Country Championships in Oxford.
Rose Chesterfield has remarkably represented the county at this race in every age group from U13 to U20. This weekend she helped the U20 Hampshire team take team gold in the event with her 9th-placed finish.
nIn the under-17 women's race over the 5k course, Annie Mann and Eve Bailey were the WADAC representatives, but despite finishing 2nd and 25th respectively, it was not enough to see them finish with a team medal.
nThe under-15 girls' team managed to go slightly better but just missed out on a podium finish with Kate Atkinson (73), Poppy Taylor(82) and Grace Baker (86)
nStrong runs from Will Atkins (6th) and Ben Chesterfield (38th) helped the U17 Men's team finish with a bronze medal.
nThe start of the u15 boy's race resembled a wrestling match on the start line. However, despite the pile-up of falling bodies at the beginning of the race, WADAC runners put in strong performances, with Ruben Price (17) the first WADAC runner home, followed by Seb Murray (57), then Thomas Jacobs (71).
nMaking their debut in the U13 age group were - Joe Hasan (42), Sam Parker (43) Luke Furby (55) and Ollie Foden (70).
