Oliver picks up indoor pb's
Despite the fact there was no track & field preview this week, there were a number of WADAC athletes in action.Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) now in his 2nd year in the collegiate system was in pb setting form at the Weekend, competing in Salem in Virginia.Oliver improved his 60mh pb to 8.76 secs and therefore his performance in 3rd place on the all time club indoor lists. He also recorded an indoor pb of 4.20m in the pole vault which again improved his performance in 2nd place this time on the all time club indoor lists just 23cm behind Charlie Maw's indoor club record. Oliver added performances of 11.72m with the shot and a leap of 6.73cm in the long jump. In other news stateside, Grace Colmer has accepted a scholarship from Nevada University and becomes the 3rd WADAC athlete in consecutive years to win a track & field scholarship to the States and any young athlete interested in following this path should contact Head of Track & Field Andy Fisher for further information.News of the weekends performances here in the UK by the clubs athletes will follow tomorrow.
