Annie finishes 8th at UK indoor champs

Annie Mann (coach James Mann) ran her second amazing race in consecutive days as she finished 8th in the womens 1500m final at the UK indoor champs in Birmingham yesterday.After setting a new indoor pb in her heat to make the final, Annie surpassed this by running a time of 4 mins 23.97 secs for another indoor pb. This smashed her own outright club record (either indoors and outdoors) and earned her a place in history as Ellie Baker in winning the race broke Zola Budd's championship record which had stood since 1986 well before Annie was born.Annie now moves to number 3 in the current U18 world indoor lists and sees Annie finish her indoor season in style. The modest 16 year old from Romsey will be back at College today and clearly has a very bright future ahead of her.
