Senior Ladies and Men teams both WIN at Popham

The conditions were perfect for a fast cross country race at Popham and the men and ladies of Winchester came out in droves.
n16 ladies took part in a speedy 6km race and proved that any age can make WADAC A team and win! India Lee fresh off the back of a brilliant race at the Southerns was first WADAC back in 2nd place, swiftly followed by Lily Neate in 5th (but importantly 1st U20) third and final member of the team was Vicky Gill 10th (1st v40). The competition in the Vets team race has heated up with Portsmouth providing some tough opposition narrowly beating us to a team win this time… but ladies did amazingly Vicky 1st(10th) Jane Gandee 4th(22nd) and Sam Parkinson 8th (35th)
nUnder 20 girls had a superb race Lily Neate 1st (5) Amelia Moore 3rd (15) and Clara Jackson 14th (52)
nNext up were 21 men on a mission - to gain top spot for the team. I think a special thanks needs to go out to Alison Fenwick here for incorporating a family outing to the race into her 60th Birthday Celebrations.
nAdrian Fautly led the men home in a close fought 4th with Will Boutwood taking 5th. Next was James Reeder 7th, Joseph Fenwick 14th, and Guy Brayn completing the team in 15th.
nThe vet men also had a storming race with Jacques Caignard 3rd (23) Richard Bidgood 8th (43) and Pete Sansome 17th (64) taking 2nd team.
nWith things so tight at the top of the men and ladies table it’s all to play for at Bournemouth, the final race of the season.
