Mia goes 3rd on all time indoor lists
The results from the London Indoor games have finally been updated allowing me to bring reports up to date for WADAC athletes. The older athletes were in action on the weekend before last and Amy Wall & Ollie Withers (both coached by Andy Fisher) were both able to make their seasonal debuts in long jump (5.20m) & 400m (52.47 secs) respectively. On the same weekend in Sheffield, Maddie Turner (coach John Miller) lowered her indoor pb to 64.18 in the 400m to improve her 3rd place standing on the clubs all time indoor lists and Charlotte Longden (coach Andy Fisher) ran 8.18 secs for the 60m frustratingly for her exactly the same time as she ran in Eton 2 weeks earlier. The younger athletes were in action at the London indoor games this weekend just gone. Mia Judd (coach Tony Bateman) improved her indoor pb to 1.64m in the high jump going joint 3rd on the clubs all time indoor list. Ieuan Thomas (coach Nick Anderson) ran an outright pb (which takes some doing indoors) in the 800m by ducking under 2 mins 12 sec for the first time and in doing so went 2nd on the clubs all time age group indoor list. Lucia Bertacchini (coach Andy Fisher) ran a pb of 26.69 secs in the 200m to break her own indoor age group club record and training partner Chloe Poore (coach Andy Fisher) also pb'd in the same event with 27.78 to go 3rd on the clubs all time age group lists. Isobel Jordan (coach Andy Fisher) ran a nice 300m but also pb'd in the long jump with 4.45m. Gracie Osman (coach Andy Fisher) jumped over 5m in the long jump but ran an exceptional 300m with the clock stopping at 42.77 secs to go 2nd on the clubs all time indoor age group lists behind her friend Lucia. Finally in the 60m, Francesca Bertacchini (U13 academy) ran a pb of 9.63 secs in the 60m but ahead of her was training partner Holly Poore (U13 academy) who ran a pb of 9.34 secs to go 3rd on the clubs all time U13G indoor lists. In the States last weekend, Oliver Thatcher (coach Andy Fisher) competed in sprint hurdles, pole vault & shot putt not improving his seasonal bests on this occasion.
