Young Combined Eventers shine in Sheffield

The last of the seasons National indoor champs took place this weekend in Sheffield and resulted in yet another National age group medal for the clubs young athletes.The U15 girls pentathlon took place yesterday and resulted in a Silver medal for Gracie Osman (coach Andy Fisher) who rewrote the WADAC record books breaking one of the strongest indoor records on the books the U15G indoor pentathlon mark previously set by Emma Buckett in 2006. Gracie scored 3170 points finishing 2nd behind birthday girl Molly Mills from Stockport. Not far behind Gracie was training partner Lucia Bertacchini (coach Andy Fisher) who had an amazing day to finish 4th. Lucia smashed her pb's in hurdles and shot as well as going over the magical 5m mark in LJ for the first time and going over 3000 points for the indoor pentathlon. The 3rd member of the same group Lily Flute (coach Andy Fisher) was 15th on the day including a storming 2 mins 30 sec run in the 800m.The U17W pentathlon took place on the Saturday and resulted in a 13th place finish for Abi Belward (coach Andy Fisher). Abi recorded a pb overall points score of 3167 which improved her own 2nd place position on the clubs all time indoor U17W lists. This included an indoor shot pb 11.62m which also goes to 2nd place on the clubs all time U17W lists.
