Andy sets new club age group indoor records

Whilst reporting on Kathryn Miles at the British Masters indoor champs in Sheffield last month, I failed to spot that WADAC had another couple of performances to celebrate.I am now putting that right by confirming that club stalwart and Vets mens Team Captain Andy Gannaway (coach David Vosser) celebrated his move into the V60 age group by adding the V60 indoor 800m & 1500m records to the age group indoor records he holds at every other Masters age from V40 upwards. Andy won his 800m heat on Saturday the 18th February to post the 5th fastest time overall of 2 mins 23.81 secs and break the V60 800m club indoor record and returned on the Sunday to finish 6th in the V60 1500m with the time of 5 mins 13.29 secs setting the clubs indoor age group record.The records have been updated on the clubs website and are a testement to Andy's longevity as his name appears so many times in the middle distance events.
