RR10 Race 2, Itchen Valley Country Park - Results

A sunny and warm evening welcomed 508 runners (297 men, 211 ladies) to Itchen Valley Country Park, the second RR10 this year and expertly organised by Lordshill. The course was a new one, approximately 4.5 miles and had a bit of all terrain: gravel paths, mud and grassland. The start was excellent making full use of the wide open field. There was also an abundance of happy and supportive marshals on the route.
n24 men and 20 Winchester ladies finished the race with the men's team (Magnus Gregory 6th, George Porter 8th, Tom Oliver 9th, Wayne Bevan 16th and David Combs 18th) coming second behind Romsey and the ladies finishing first (Vicky Gill 1st, Helen Oliver 2nd and Ellie Davies 4th). In the overall standings after 2 races, the men are in 3rd place and the ladies 1st. Well done to everyone that ran, we had an A,B,C,D and E team for the men and an A, B, C, D, E and F team for the ladies! Incredible.
nAfter the race there was plenty of delicious cake and a fab opportunity to chat to team mates and friends in other clubs.
nPlease put Race 3 in your diary on Wednesday 17th May, 7pm at Hamble Country Park.
nSee you there Team WADAC!
