Weekend track & field preview

The preview comes a day early this week as the UK athletics championships starts today and takes place for 3 days in Manchester.The club has two athletes taking part with Lile Neate (Coach Nick Anderson) competing in the U20 womens 3000m which takes place at 8.10pm tonight and Stuart McCallum (self coached) who races in the mens 5000m which is one of the very last races of the championships taking place at 4.10pm on Sunday Afternoon. All the action from the UK champs can be seen live via BBC I player, BBC online or via the red button. League action takes place with the 3rd of this seasons upper age group YDL matches with the U17's & U20's going up to Harrow on Sunday to compete with our composite partners Portsmouth in league 1A in which we currently sit in 2nd place.Finally, the regional round of the schools combined event champs takes place in Crawley with no fewer than 7 of the clubs athletes representing Hampshire Schools and Surrey Schools respectively.Good luck to everyone in action this weekend.
