A second WADAC vest will be shown on the TV on Friday night as Lily Neate (coach Nick Anderson) has accepted an invitation to run in an U20 3000m race at the UK champs this coming weekend.Lily is having a sensational season setting a new age group club record at 3000m in Watford on the 1st June and has been invited to compete alongside the very best junior middle distance women in the country. The UK champs acts as the trials for the major championships taking place in this busiest of all seasons and the 3000m U20 races for men and women have been added to help selection for the world junior champs which takes place in Cali in Columbia. Lily will run at 8.10pm on Friday night and this can be seen on BBC online or via the red button and this was be an exciting hour for the club as I have already reported on the fact that Stu McCallum (self coached) has also accepted an invite to run at the UK champs and his first round heat of the 1500m will take place at 7.20pm on Friday.
