Junior Tri group in action at the Natures Way Foods Chichester Triathlon Series
The penultimate South Central League event was held at Chichester over the weekend, in hot and humid conditions. This was a new event for us, and the course was an interesting one. A 33m pool, multiple short lap bike course not too dissimilar to a Dutch crit, around a residential area. Finished off with a run circuit on the field that included 7 dead turns per lap.
nThe parents rose to the challenge of getting to Chichester for a mid-day start, on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and everyone did the club proud.
nSpecial mention to Stan Parkinson, for entering and coming a creditable 5th in his first event at this level. I think we all enjoyed watching him fly past his competitors in the run.
nAmber Price and Theo Hoath also competing in between other sporting events and doing very well at this top regional level of racing.
n
nAnd club coach, Charles Carr, competing in the Olympic distance on Sunday and coming 15th in a time of 2:23:45, in this heat.
