TCS London Marathon
After all the weather warnings and disruption caused by the train strikes for many it was a relief to toe the line for the TCS London Marathon Oct 2022 and just get running!
nIt turned out to be a lovely day calm, sunny and set for fast running....the WADAC athletes didn't disappoint and there were a number of notable performances:
n- Jonathan Kane placed second in his V80 category...adding to his collection of Age Cat medals from the London event and setting a new WADAC club record of 4h42'03 for this age cat.
n- Rich Bidgood placed in the top 200 overall and was 20th in his V45 Age Cat. In doing so Rich recorded a new PB of 2h36'33 and improved the WADAC club record for this age cat by nearly 10mins!
n- Jo Curtis placed 22nd in her age category
nThere were of course many WADAC athletes taking part in this ever-popular event, congratulations all and apologies if I have failed to highlight something particularly noteworthy.
nBack to business as usual in 2023 with the London Marathon reverting to it's traditional spot in the Spring.....the next event is Sunday 23rd April 2023 and the various entry pathways are already open.
